On a slight twist.. When I was a kid, my dad would always have to (begrudgingly) share his packet of fig roll biscuits with me. Then one day I was ill and informed by my dad that fig rolls didn't agree with me. Pause approx 15 years and I dared to eat a fig roll only to discover that, not only did I still enjoy them, but it most certainly did not make me ill.

My dad even kept a straight face when I confronted him

There isn't anything I hated as a kid that I like now, but there's a few stuff that I liked as a kid and now wonder how I ever managed to like it.

I wasn't allowed to hate food. My mum went through the war years, and she had zero patience for any fussiness about food. You got it, you ate it, full stop. Consequently, I like almost anything (apart from sweet yuck - Angel Delight and the like). The one exception I can think of over recent years was that andouillette sausage mentioned above - tried that in France a couple of years ago and it was rank.

Yet another one for olives & broccoli, I hated them as a child but now love them. I'll never ever like sprouts, just the smell is enough to make to retch.
