foot clipped itself out

...went for a little cycle this morning and my left foot (the one I always clip out first when coming to a stop) clipped itself out....i was just starting to motor at the bottom of a hill and in a standing position it unclipped...wobbled for a second before clipping back in....its got me thinking though and not sure if this is common...i got floating cleats and shimano spd r540...i have them set to the easiest release setting....any ideas?

it happens sometimes - you could always increase the release tension...

The answer to your question couldn't be more obvious , especially since you state you set it at the easier release setting Have a little think about it.

as stated increase your clip, but also it might be that your cleat is badly positioned
