For free: a pair of 700c wheels. I've used these for the final time today to hit my 2015 mileage target after doing about 1000 miles on them; it's time for a change because I've had enough of trundling along.
The front's off a Carrera Virtuoso and the rear from a Cannondale with an 8-speed Shimano hub. They're heavy, slow, grindy and the rear needs new grease. I'm probably the 10th owner but there is still a lot more use before they hit the wear indicator. Possibly because neither wheel seems any good at braking. 36-spokes on each; unbreakable - believe me, I've tried.
Not sold yet? They come with used lime green Rubino tyres and if I can't get the rear cassette off (it's stuck) then an 8-speed cassette as well. Probably suitable for a turbo, rollers or being a masochist.
