As long as they simply pay tax on it rather than indulge in schemes (nearly wrote scams) to minimise the amount they contribute to the good of the countries they live in. Far too many people with high incomes view taxes as a problem for the little people (I'm looking at you, Mr Trump).

It must be legal otherwise they would be breaking the law. People who earn large sums of money also (usually) pay large sums of tax. Tax avoidance is rife throughout incomes. I know many people personally and in business who avoid tax via paying/taking payment in cash for example.

A window cleaner who pockets the cash and declares half is no less of a crook than a rich person who avoids tax and is certainly more of a crook compared to a rich person who minimises their tax legally.

Other than relying on the public police, health, education and transport systems for all of the people they employ - the ones who are actually making the money that comes their way.

The extraordinarily rich and their acolytes conveniently forget quite often that one of the main reasons they're extraordinarily rich is that they live in a stable democracy which has a rule of law, a well-educated workforce and decent infrastructure.
