What's the general standard thread on bikes ?

I'm M6-8-10 stuff, but what's the thread TPI we use.

Great site and thanks...............

[size="-1"]Follow the link to a chart for standard ISO metric thread information including drill sizes.

The chart does not include Metric fine, or Far East Asian Metric oddities.

Metric threads are not given in TPI, but in pitch eg M8 X 1.25 or M10 X 1.50 the pitch is the distance between 2 peaks on the thread.

This link will take you to a chart with information regarding Metric fine threads.

My link

I have yet to come across metric fine for general nuts & bolt, and machine & socket screw fastners used on Bicycles.

But I do use metric fine on the steering linkages of the Cargo Bicycles, pedal cars, and pedal power trucks that I build.
