I maganed to screw up my knee at an AC/DC gig a couple of weeks ago and can't ride. I'm gutted. Since then I've been driving and it's crap, really really crap.

I don't feel energised through the day, I don't have my ride home to look forward to when the grind starts, I don't feel healthy. I just miss it.

Also I've been late for the last 3 days running. Normally I'm the first in.
I really dislike traffic and furthermore hate having to fuel the car instead of myself.

Occasionally i have to drive to work and end up hating it as well, for the same reasons - lack of energy, fuelling my car, being stuck in traffic, it's boring. i do get to listen to the radio though! ;)

Totally agree... get the same when I am forced to take public transport.

It is a nice re-confirmation of why we choose to cycle though.

Last time I had to drive, half of my colleagues were gob smacked as they thought I couldn't. I find a lot of folks assume that as a cyclist I can't drive, rather than choosing not to.

I got quite wound up yesterday when I had to drive (just as well really I have a habit of fainting when I give blood.......). Thankfully it was only 4 miles and one set of roadworks.

I have noticed that when I drive I start to feel drowsy, It's just so boring and the noise the engine makes is as bad as listing to white noise. One day I will fall a sleep sitting at the lights.
