The Forestry Commission are running a series of led woodland rides in and around Glasgow. Details below....
WHAT IT IS?
Led group rides, cycling at a moderate pace
mostly off road and through woodlands,
taking the time to stop to look at the views
and hear a bit about the nature around us
and a story or two from our ride leader.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone who can ride a bike. The rides are fairly easy - you don't
need to be super fit. If you walk regularly or can cycle 5 miles
comfortably, you will be able to complete this ride. We will be
cycling around 15 miles in a day.
WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE A BIKE?
We have a small number of bikes that you
can book. Ideally we would like you to
come with your own bike; in which case
please make sure that it is well maintained.
WHERE AND WHEN ARE THE RIDES?
There are 7 Sunday rides, on a variety of routes on the following
dates:
30 June
21 July
25 August (women only)
15 September
6 October
10 November
Places are limited and will be allocated
on a first come, first served basis.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Although this is a FREE event we would need at least a 48 hours
cancellation period to ensure you are not charged.
We depart 10:00 am from
Bellahouston Park and return by
4:00 pm.
PLEASE BRING A PACKED LUNCH AND WATER WITH YOU.
You must book in advance:
