Forks sizes?

Hi Guys,

I need to purchase a new set of forks and I've been told I need 1,1/4" steerer size. However, these don't seem a common size. I assume there isn't much tolerance to take another size but in my naivety I'm not certain. Can someone tell me more about this? Any information greatly appreciated.

Oh not sure no. Just what I've been told. 1 and 1/8 seems much more common than 1 and 1/4 though so I'd be able to find a set easier then so I hope my bike would take 1 and 1/8.

We don't have too many swamp diseases down here but in case you do in the UK The London
