Miraculously, one of these bikes is available in my local bike shop. I'm looking to upgrade from a cheap Hybrid for a faster ride. Does anyone have any experiences with them?

Go give it a try and see what you think.
I’d expect any well fitting and set up road bike to be quicker on roads but a bit depends what you’ll use it for and where you’ll ride it and what you are replacing (adding to)
Whatever you do though...don’t get talked into buying the wrong size bike because it’s all they have or all you can find right now

Yes, a roadbike will be qui her than a suspension hybrid on tarmac. Not necessa more comfortable though!!

drop bars aren’t for everyone but most get used to them, you’ll probably ride mostly on the hoods anyhow
