Bog Football, now THERE is a sport!
They have to pedal to make the cars go forward? Oh well, in that case yes ...Try spending upto 2 hours racing at an average speed of over 100mph, going around corners at up to 4g lateral. Then say that they aren't athletic or highly skilled.
Definitely! I think all racing (even cycling :P) looks a lot slower on TV. Reminded me of this youtube video, keeping in mind how fast GT cars are...Love F1! I've dabled in some racing when i was younger.... although it may look boring to the onlooker when you're in the car it's so exhilirating. Also watching formula 1 on television does it no justice you get no idea how fast these drivers are going!

Its not cardio but it is intensive, they can lose about 5 pounds in sweat and the g-forces are like a constant workout. A lot of the drivers are keen cyclists and runners too, from memory Button and Rosberg compete in triathletes too with good times. Quite a few of the drivers weigh under 9 1/2 stone too these days. F1 is incredibly competitive given its popularity worldwide and that only 20-24 people get to compete in a season and less in a decent car, as opposed to probably hundreds of footballers for example who get to play internationally and thousands who get to play in various top leagues. They have to pedal to make the cars go forward? Oh well, in that case yes ...
Yes but the cycling commentators take it to the other extreme. One of the joys of the first week of the TdF on Eurosport is the commentators trying to fill the hours where absolutely b****r all happens. "My mum has a house like that", "My aunt once tried to grow sunflowers". It's an absolute hoot!!Yes but the commentators don't have regular fits (practically) about anything remotely exciting happening.
.
I sky+ d it (same with the Rally, and F1). Watched F1 first, as it's the one that everyone wants to tell you who won, watched the 1st BTCC race, haven't started on the Rally yet.anyone catch the BTCC on itv4 this weekend then? great viewing (and commentry!) even better in person though
I agree. I hate football with a passion. But I love f1

I love FI and FOOTBALL(but not when England play)![]()

The TDF really is dire. A few dozen ludicrously overpaid cyclists, following each others' backsides round a ribbon of tarmac, all to see who can get away with doping the longest.
It makes bowls look thrilling.

He scored, right?![]()
Sale Madrid, disagreeing with a post is one thing - fair enough.
But if you're going to doctor it, do have the courtesy to show that that is what you have done. "Quoting" something that you have re-worded is a tw@t's trick.
