I hope to God this place is anonymous. The last thing I want to do is meet any of you in real life. It's bad enough turning down the constant advances from half of you on this site as it is without having groupies screaming outside my gates wanting to get in.

I watched a couple of TED talks last night about online security. One presenter gave an example of how easy it is these days to find personal information about people. He gave an example of using facial recognition software on a photograph of a student. The software trawled Facebook and in seconds found FB accounts of him and his friends, his US social security number and so on - scary stuff!

Apparently, this facial recognition software is so good that MI6 are having trouble recruiting agents who wouldn't be identified by a quick automated troll lf the web.

I just did a search for myself and found a website which had copied some of my posts from CycleChat. I went to look at that website but my anti-virus checker kicked in and blocked the site due to security problems with it!

The only stuff you can find about me by Googling is my Fb, which is full of cats and bikes, my Twitter, which I don't use but was full of cat and bikes tweeds, my Belles on Bikes account with is about bike rides.
I suppose one could find my place of work from my FB, but then there must be another good few hundred others that work there.
It helps that I share my surname with a famous con person, their results top the searches!
