I've suffered as long as I can, I can't make sense of all the bells and it's driving me mad. I've searched and searched and can't find a legend. Help!

Big bells, little bells, different colours. What does it all mean?

Now I ask you, in full view and clearly marked, what kind of a place was that to hide them???

[In fact I'm not convinced, I goto my profile and look at my post list and there's loads of tiny little brown bells, and when I click on one it takes me to a post I've already read. I suspect shennanigans [sp?].]

Au contraire. I must only skim the pages because I was absolutely convinced that they were little bells. It's only CPs post that prompted me to look and realise my error

Ah young Nigel means the active post indicators down the left of the main thread page. Got it now.

I r a bit of a plank. I use a firefox add-on called autopager that hides the legend at the bottom.

Not as bad as on another forum, I use an add-on called adblock and accidentally hid the post reply button. Then made an utter twat of myself swearing blind to the admin that their site was broken.

Funny how, like now, it's always after a bottle of wine that I spot these faults in other peoples work
