The problem is ... I'm running out of riders slower than me! I always used to have at least one rider behind me so I could grovel along and pretend that I was keeping them company.

You mean me??

I'd come up if shauns playing out on the fixie, otherwise I was planning on

a 60 miler through Cheshire (just 600 feet of climbing much more fixie friendly)

A belated thanks for the good wishes for my Mrs recent illness, she ended up

spending a week in hospital with e-coli,took 3 different antibiotics to sort her out.

She's just feeling a bit washed out now, would have come up last week but thought

a self imposed quarrantine might be in order,

That's the only reason I'm coming  so I can taunt him by freewheeling down the hills

I was thinking more of potsy and Steve H earlier in the year, but you'll do! ;)

Phew - it sounded really nasty that bug and I was worried that the antibiotics might not have worked!

Sober now then?

Just done another 14 miles, very gentle pace even for me.
Hope it's the same tomorrow

As I'm now carless I'll be on the Rochdale train which gets In to Hebden Bridge at 9.52

Probably go back via Clowbridge and Rawtenstall to avoid having to buy another ticket back to Rochdale
Makes perfect sense! I try to make the starts 10:00ish to allow time to come in by train from Manchester or Leeds.

The forecast is looking okay! Sunny spells, with the chance of the odd light shower.

Went to get myself a new rear tyre this morning from a new shop in the

centre of manchester ( Keep Pedalling) on leaving the shop mounted my

trusty steed to be confronted with some Photographer walking backwards

across the road who was snapping at something,I could,nt see what till the last moment

Turned out to be Johnny Marr from the Smiths and some journalist, had to do a quick swerve

to avoid flattening the pair of them

Maybe they had jeard you were spending some cash money and wanted to get evidence

Colin- Are you still planning on putting the route up? Would like to put it on my Garmin in case me and Shaun get fed up of waiting for you and decide to go on ahead

Bikely is still playing silly buggers. It lets me do what I normally do to upload new routes but they don't appear on the site after that!

Instead, here's the GPX file for you. (I assume that will do?) It's a good idea that you have it in case I get tired of hanging about for the fixie riders and the slow, tubby guy. (I have to be home before it gets dark because I won't be carrying lights!)

So far, we have 4 riders on the list ...

Riders
  • ColinJ
  • Potsy
  • bromptonfb
  • Pennine-Paul
Would anybody else like to come along?

Oi who you calling tubby? :boxing:

That should do Colin, being a Garmin novice I can't say for certain but it appears to have worked.
