Free Hub Splines?

Just got a replacement Freehub body but it only has 6 splines on it (probably a weight/cost saving decice) a Pro-Lite free hub. It's probably a how long is a peice of string question but what do people think about the durability of such a system?

I always have problems with freehub durability and virtually every wheel I have ridden gets chewed up by the sprockets. Including my Pro Lite one
Don't think the number of splines will make as much difference as how hard the material used to construct it does.

The trouble with Pro-Lite is you don't know what you are going to get - it will be either made of cheese or the best freehub out there.
