If I'm to wear a jersey covered in adverts I want to be paid for it. Free isn't enough!

You want the moon on a stick! I'll chuck in a bag of jelly babies. . . that's my final offer!

Yes, it's my site and no, it's not a scam. I've thought about it long and hard and thought, yeah let's give it a go. I'm in 'negotiations' with some large companies at the moment. It could get interesting. Obviously, when I say negotiations I mean they are squeezing me for all they're worth (and winning).

No, there will be no 'piles cream' advertising etc etc.

I signed up, earlier... worked on Chrome for me... I'd even happily wear pile cream adverts (though those would be better on the ass of some shorts)

Heh, no, best of luck to you. It's a clever and interesting idea - be good to see how it turns out.

I think the thing which may be the sticking point on this whole idea is - how do you ensure the owner actually wears the jersey? How do you sell it to potential advertisers when you can't show them contracts that say the rider will be wearing it every day? Well, I guess you are probably already encountering this

I still won't be getting one, though!

If I were an advertiser I wouldn't care about the odd weirdo who gets a shirt and doesn't use it! You buy (say) 100 shirts, £1000, 60 get worn say once a week on average and seen by cyclists and people who are in places cyclists go. That's 3000 shirt-days-out, so each shirt-day-out costs 33p.It now depends what you are advertising. Financial services - poor takeup, maybe not worth 33p a day. Joe Bloogs specialist cycles, now you are talking.

Ok, I signed up, using firefox this time. The implementation of flash in x64 linux has always been a bit sketchy.

As there was no option for Hampshire I've signed up for my home address but I take it I'll still be allowed to wear the jersey when I'm at uni?

I didn't get an option for my address. Australia wasnt listed as one of the countries.

If any more cycle kit arrives at home Mrs LFG will blow a gasket. (she'll never beleive its free - theres been too many 'bargains' already)

I've sent you a message on the site regarding potentially starting in Scotland.

I can think of a few charities that I have been involved with in the past which I would HAPPPILY wear branding for! (Clic Sargent, TCT, Anthony Bone Marrow Trust, Taktent, Contak and the Youth Cancer Forum Scotland, or YCFS for short).

Hi, there is a Scotland page on the site but I've been inundated with registrations and had to close it. At the moment it's a single page covering the whole of scotland but if the take up from sponsors is good I'll exapnd it.

That's how I'd like it to go. Sell advertising on the jerseys then when the costs are covered (and a small profit made ) I could make a donation to have their branding on the next set of jerseys. That way it wouldn't seem like I was attempting to use a charity to promote a commercial venture.

I've got alot of interest from potential sponsors at the moment so am hoping to have some logos on the site shortly. Hopefully once the ball is rolling etc etc.

Has anyone heard anything more from this thread. The link on the OP no longer works and I can't find anything to work through Google either. Seemed a good idea but perhaps with the recession not enough businesses wanted to sign up  .
