Did anyone from here head down. Had I been working in London it might've been worth the effort, but I could imagine it'd get ugly pretty quickly. Having done events before for my company and given out free stuff I discovered it doesn't take much to turn a crowd of sensible human being into a bunch of greedy animals.

Aye, if you don't ride with lights it is, presumably, because you don't think about it. It's not like there are people who would love a set of lights but can't afford the £2.99 to get a set from a supermarket.
They should give a bunch to the police and get PCSOs to stop and fit them to errant cyclists.

It's to make up for all the financial support that the capital provides for all us prov's.
Look, I feel some responsibility for posting this in the first place and creating such angst - I've got anoccasionally working Exposure Flash that I carry as a spare and will be handed to the first person that stops me on my commute home from central Manchester to north Bolton and states "You are Kolley Kibber and I claim my free light". I'll be leaving some time after 5.
