Free parking?

Ludlow council have got into hot water with this sign.

It appears to say parking is not enforced but wardens gave out tickets.

Fine have now been refunded.

I read that as clearly stating (to the effect) parking is free.
It was only after reading Skolls comment that I realised the problem.

My local council have the same signs up, although they have reinforced it by covering the meters with bin bags. I'd be miffed if I'd got a ticket in Ludlow.

Brum stuck signs over the meters and the wardens have been putting leflets on cars telling them the date fees would start again.

And the second sign has a small 'm', suggesting people should keep 2 miles apart. Were it metres it would be a capital letter.

Seems unfair that everyone, car owner or not, has to subsidise people who want to store their cars in the town.

Just lately round our way it's been a case of, 'bollocks to it, I'll leave it here because I can't be arsed walking more than ten yards for my pizza and I know I can get away with it.'

Get the wardens out in NBC suits and ticket the lot of the selfish bastards.
