Congratulations on still being young. I can't recall the age at which late food and drinks suddenly converted into staring at the ceiling in a cold sweat induced existential crisis at 3 in the morning.

It was probably more to do with the fact that it dehydrated me a bit so I didn't need to get up for a p*ss in the middle of the night ^_^

Red wine and port used to be my weapons of choice in the war against my brain cells. Admittedly, switching to white improved my outcomes but still led to a lousy night's sleep.
Like many, the pandemic took me to a crossroads in my drinking career: focus hard on imbibation or can it.
I'm now a social drinker who doesn't have a social life.

fast alcohol metabolism - huzzah!
slow alcohol metabolism - bad night and a hangover

fortunately i appear to enjoy the former :smile:
