No ride but will walk the puppy before work and the impending heat.
Last coached gym session tonight which will be a sweatfest.
Pergola assembly on the horizon.

Surprisingly breezy up here as we struggle towards the 10th of our 11 fringeless months.

DD2 was making some big talk last night about going for a run with me this morning. If a week's a long time in politics, 12 hours is an era in teenage promises.

Like a horse hearing a bugle before it's shot, I think I'll put on my running kit in advance of the disappointment.

Warm but no scorching here which suits me fine. Working 'till lunchtime then lid down. Mate coming over for a spot of sim racing then out for a bite and a beer, followed by a spot of stand up Northern Eastern comedy courtesy of some Chubby bloke.

How big a venue can Royston sell out these days? Best part of 40 years ago he sold out the Edinburgh Playhouse which is about 3,000. Has his anti-woke schtick brought him a new audience or is it the remnants of his old following.

Looking at the state of him in the 80s, I'm amazed he's still alive.

Morning. Got to dry out the inflatable Decathlon Kayak today - MrsF took it to Padarn yesterday, but it takes an age to dry properly.

Is that a fresh or seawater? Salt water always takes longer to dry, i just took mine home then hosed it down in the garden to de salt it. It's a Gumotex so shiny stuff that might dry quicker!

Never found him funny at all.

I did when I was about twelve however I just cringe when I see his or Mannings clips anywhere.

On a related note, has anyone else seen Raw or Delirious by Eddie Murphy? Those always cracked me up when I was a kid and to this day still do.

As he's a Teesside lad he was a curiousity and since a mate had a spare, I went along. There was some of it that appealed to the puerile child in me, but most of it was sick and wrong. File it under 'different times' and move on. I'm curious as to how many people think he still has a place in modern 'culture'.

Warm and breezy here. Slept a bit better with the medication but still woke in agony. So went for a trip to Scarborough A&E got seen with in an hour. Doctor was of the opinion my muscle is in a spasm so prescribed me some Diazepam to add to rest of medication. Never thought I’d up as junkie at my age.
As we are supposed to heading up to Jockland to see daughter dearest and our grandson and whether I take my bike is a decision I don’t have to make.

Our local place only has 450 seats but it was nearly sold out when I booked 6 weeks back. I'll let you know about the audience profile later - hopefully any newbies will know to sing 'You fat b@stard' when he makes his entrance ^_^
