Cheers @Stevo 666 . Yes I realised all that. Unable to take 25% and then transfer out as the 25% locks you into the pension. Aviva and one or 2 others will look at DB pensions but charge 4 or 5k then say no can do. Ideally should have pulled just after covid as it lost well over 100k on cetv in 1yr. Things have only recovered slightly since. See what the advisors suggest later.

i'd ignore aviva and get an independent advisor
also use a platform provider to host the sipp (rather than a company like aviva)
fwiw my sipp is on aj bell with a bunch of other stuff that the wealth managers handle, there are others - btw it's not ajb's managed sipp which has extra fees, they only host it, then my swm does the management, you can self-manage too (obvs no management fees at all that way)
