I am sorry. I usually join in with celebrations of all types but halloween is the only one, I have no interest in.
Its an Americanism to start with. Trick or treat. We egg your house if you do not give us something for free. Its a celebration of nothing.
In our village, if there are no obvious haloween, pumpkins, etc, outside the house. The children are not allowed to visit.
The children who do visit houses have to be accompanied by an adult and they have to be in costume. It prevents groups of 16 year old youths from knocking on your door.
These 'guidelines' are put on the village FB page every year, just before halloween. Not suprising for Denmark. They are adhered to.

TBH around here its very similar and the only teens we tend to get are those escorting youngsters. We only had a few last night so my haribo stock didn't suffer to badly. We actually had a little cockerpoo in costume with one group and he had his own little bucket which we duly dropped some dog treats in.
