Thing about all the Johnny Cash prison stuff is it's all a bit phoney, I saw an interview with Merle Haggard once and he was talking about being on the Johnny Cash TV show talking to JC about seeing Cash's show at St Quentin, Cash said to Merle that he didn't remember him being on the bill as part of the show and The Hag had to remind him that he was actually in the audience - that's the difference! Anyway not taking it all away from Cash, he's made a couple of decent cuts, not that Hurt dirge though. Any road, here's The Hag on Cash's show with a great song.
