Many years ago my daughter was working as an English teacher in Pamplona. She wrote the words of " The Sick Bed of Cuchulainn" on the blackboard and played the Pogues song to her Class ( 18+ ) as part of a colloquial / cultural lesson.
They absolutely loved it. She also tells me that Cider was popular in that region and her students took her to several Cider houses. She'd lived in Devon for a while and when the proprietors of the bars learned of her background she was treated with much respect, and not a little awe.🍻
