I really wanted to single out "Pine on the Horizon" from Stomu Yamash'ta's East Wind, with Hugh Hopper, Gary Boyle and Brian Gascoigne, but featuring Stomu's wife Hisako on violin. However, I could only find the whole album on Youtube, and that's the 3rd track (of 4). If you do listen that far, it's well worth sticking with it for the final track, "Wind Words", also featuring Hisako's playing. You may well remember some of this as featuring in several TV programmes of the mid to late 70's!

I went to see Hatfield and the North play Lanchester Poly, Coventry in 1974 and Stomu Yamash'ta's East Wind were on the same bill. I had never heard of them but thought they were fantastic!

As this category is all about violins or accordions, here's Hana and the band with a Eurythmics cover. Hana is a talented violin player with Classical, Rock, Country and Blues among her repertoire.
