Son Of A Preacher Man Aretha Franklin. The interesting thing about this version of the song is that originally Aretha Franklin turned the song down, the song was then offered to Dusty Springfield who had a big hit with it, it was only after hearing Dusty Springfield's version that Aretha Franklin recorded it.

I was looking for The Animals cover of the House Of The Rising Sun from the 1960's, the song dates back to the 1930's, when I came across this version by the Everly Brothers.
