I used to love this show as a kid. When I started getting into Buddhism later, I began to realise what it was all about. Some of it is still pretty funny today. So sad that the actress who played Tripitaka (Masako Natsume) died when she was only 27...

They tried a remake in Japan a few years ago. It was terrible.
