Little Boots - Meddle (accoustic bedroom version)
She's fab and I love that gadget. Nice to see a real musician at work too.
Ooo, I got hooked on her with that video too. It's great that she got a contract and has an album out now... although it's kinda sad that they lost all of the intimacy of the track in the studio. And WTF did they do with the official video.

Oh, and the tenerion (however that is spelt!) features plenty in the Remedy video. That is an excellent song from the studio, IMO.

Maybe not everyone's tasse de cafe au lait but the French charts are refreshingly different to the UK

Thomas Dutronc - Comme un manouche sans guitare

The official video release for the song... it's pretty awful and there are more inspiring versions of the song, the album version is a bit lacking in energy.

Dutronc is a jazz guitarist, very much inspired by the French 'gypsy' jazz nightclub scene of the 1930s, think Django Reinhardt etc. This gives a better idea of his inspirations

Dutronc also wrote (some of?) the music for the animated film 'Les Triplettes de Belleville'... which I'm sure you know, being interested in all things cycling related!

I love that

I loved La Roux when she first appeared. Can't stand the noise now.

Florence & The Machine are going the same way.

Loving the Fake Blood remix.... which reminds me of one from a year or two back.

I apologise in advance but... hmm, there's no easy way to do this. Soulja Boy - Crank That is crap. But listen for 15 seconds, just to get how bad it is. Then have a little listen to the same track with a touch of percussion from Travis Barker. Completely different track, love that version.
