I must admit punk went a bit over my head, I didn't understand what they were rebelling against, I was raised on soul, blues folk and rock and there was still some good stuff being produced at the same time as punk which was pretty crap music wise, although the energy and getting kids away from the main stream pop garbage must have being a good thing.
This record was not remotely punk, yet somehow amongst us 16-year olds in about 1978, along with our Damned and X-Ray Specs, Clash and Buzzcocks records there were a few others that were deemed cool enough to listen to, and this was one that got us enthused at that time. I still think it's great
