Yes... The Road Goes On Forever was the first one I thought of when I saw the title :-)

How about:

Not in any particular (year of) release order

Complete with the story

Better stay away from Copperhead Road!

No-one came running, so I called the Cops myself

He said he wanted to "make a real-life, bad-tooth, Hillbilly murder ballad"

Enjoyable, but with underlying story
Phrases like "Mary-Ann flew in on a red-eyed midnight flight" are excellent

Listenable in the times of any conflict
The first couple of times I heard this, I got a shiver from the lines like
"A man said, Folks, would you bow your heads, for a list of the local Vietnam dead"

just passin' through
Similar to 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' is this:

Just so full of longing, loving & memories
Almost a tear-jerker.......................
One of the comments is;
This kills me. Every time. I have never, in any other song, film or story, met a lament so soulful and deep.
It's the words, yes, and also her voice, inflection and the abject sense of bittersweet loss that she conveys.
Just amazing
.

Jerry Reed, telling a story, & also used as the opening sequence
(as well, as him starring in the film too!)
