Crap song but a good summer.

Young, dumb and full of beans, packed up and shipped off to Denmark for a week with the Youth Games. It was a good week for international relations

We were extremely close to being sent home before the ferry had landed, and if they'd thought to bring well behaved subs then we'd have missed out.

Sticking with Noodley's theme. This is one from a similiar era: There I was sitting in a club in a quiet corner with friends. 3 of them off to America in a few weeks and others associated to them I knew I probably wouldn't see much after that and this came on. Reflecting on this I wandered off to the edge of the dance floor to watch the girls dancing to this and feeling a bit sad. Summe of 83 I think.

This B52's song reminds me of the summer of 1989, camping out in a field with about 15 friends after we'd finished our A levels. We were filled with optimism, lager, and the bitter-sweet knowledge that after that summer ended, nothing would ever be quite the same for us again...

First proper holiday with someone special, I found an apartment in a fishing village north of Lisbon. We were the only British people for miles and miles.

We packed our own party gear and by day we'd explore the coast on foot scrambling to secluded spots and would share the beach only with fishermen in Sou'westers who thought we were decidedly underdressed.

By night we were back down the beach, this reminds me of glowstick kite flying and we'd be calmed down at sun up by Moby before walking back along the front past the housemartins and the tiled houses for some sedative port on the balcony.

I did think that it'd be like that forever. Nice to remember it tonight though.

Oh dear, I have just found a photo of me from late-80s.

I am not the good looking chap on the right  And that is not a 'spot' on my chin! It's a scar from crashing my bike, which I still have.

Great mullet!

This has inspired a new thread but it may have to wait as the required photo is on another computer in our new house and it could be a few weeks before it's set back up again.
