I think my fave cover is 'Whole Lotta Love' by Goldbug. Last time I looked on yootoob for it there was only a dodgy live version, but it's well worth tracking down for the cheesy keyboard solo that sounds like it should be a theme tune for a Gerry Anderson series!

Okay, I know the singer has been mentioned before, but this one is surreal*.

Behold the awesomness of Rolf singing I Touch Myself.

* actually, it just creates a very difficult mental image.

I actually couldn't listen to the whole of that....

I saw some bona-fide stars do covers last night. For real!

Jack Bruce did covers of his own stuff, 'White Room', 'Sunshine of your love' and 'Badge'. Wilco Johnson and Norman Watt-Roy (a real battle for Britain's best bass player went on last night I assureth thee) did a load of good covers, mostly Dr. Feelgood and Blockheads stuff.

And tonight, amongst others, we've got Steve Cropper and the sainted Mavis Staples to give us some covers. Probably covers of their own stuff like, but we cannot wait.

And all of this 500 yards from where I composeth this!
