I've never really got on with Spiritualized, Lazer Guided Melodies was ok, but IMHO Spacemen 3 were better.

Spiritualized at the Albert hall was the most boring gig I ever went to, so ridiculously sterile and dull. But.... Spaceman 3 at Sheffield university in... 89? Utterly fantastic, so dronetastic and massive.

Their version of anyway that you want me is spine shudderingly wonderful

They split up soon after of course. Checking a couple of fan sites, I saw them at the leadmill in 89, I miss that place, saw so many great bands there (also loads of awful ones)
