Afternoon all, day of mooching about the potteries area wasn't to bad in the end. Have seen vets and hes suggested we make some extra special memories with him over the next couple of weeks then take him, unless he starts to struggle even more. So doggy painkillers to help as and when required and an awkward conversation with the boys later. Not looking forward to it, luckily the OH was at the vets with me so I can't be accused of being hard faced.

Luckily your boys are a bit more grown up now. Loosing pets when I was young was sheer trauma.

You have to stick to the TWH mantra in Jockland - even if there's hardly any wind 'cos it could just pick up at any moment.

Last time I was up here I was planning a longish ride heading South West. So I’m thinking head wind out, tail wind back. However clearly it was going to a head wind out according to the weather forecast but by the time I would have headed back. It would have been a head wind home.
I just took Bertie for a long walk instead.
