Fridge/Freezer constant noise.

Whilst on holiday in a rented cottage, I kept being bugged by what sounded like a dog barking in the distance (I loath yapping dogs). The barking sound was interspersed by a comedy 'plop' noise.

Investigations ('cos the 'plop' noise was just weird) proved that it was the fridge freezer in the corner of the open plan kitchen/living room. The fridge freezer was also the source of the 'dog barking in the distance' sound...

We have 56 large fridge and fridge freezers in work.
Only one resident says her's is noisy.
I told her to fill the empty compartments with news paper crumpled up.it seems to have worked.

I find the gas thing odd, if that's a cause.

Easily checked as well.

I I shut my 2 year old granddaughter in ours, but she just wailed. I assumed she was just afraid of the dark but the results were inconclusive, in truth.
