A Florida man who cracked open an ice cold can of Pepsi "indeed" found dismembered remains of a frog, the US Food and Drug Administration said on Thursday. "It has been verified, and it was indeed a frog," Charles Watson, a spokesman at the US food inspection authority, told AFP from Florida, noting that the animal had been identified by an FDA lab.
Fred DeNegri of Ormond Beach told CNN television that he was taken aback by the "disgusting" blob he was not expecting in his drink.
DeNegri purchased the soda at a Sam's Club wholesale grocer, CNN said.
The FDA has launched an investigation into how the incident occurred.

So, who elsea has found something in their food that shouldn't have been there.

I was in an Indian Curry House in Notting Hill Gate a good few years ago. Had a few Poppadums as you do. When to crack one when a cockroach decided to crawl out from between them...

I found a partly dissolved slug in my tea mug at work a few years back. Note - that was after I'd drunk the tea!

Apparently the colleague who had done the last tea round thought he'd "noticed something black come out of the milk bottle" into the mug but hadn't found it with a casual poke with a teaspoon, so he "thought everything was okay"!

Visited some elderly folk with my Dad when I was a kid, they served up some coffee from a Thermos. Drinking my coffee I found something bitter and fibrous in my mouth. Didn't want to offend so swallowed it. After we had left my Dad asked me: "Did you find any bluebottles in your coffee?"

Recently in the Lagos Sheraton I was given a plate of cookies. Picked it up to remove the cling film and one of them moved - it was a huge roach, which had got under the film. Feck knows how because it was tight around the edges. Bizarre. I blackmailed a bottle of champagne out of the Management for that little mistake.

When I was about twelve my mother found a big gnarled lump of lead in a tin of corned beef, about the size of a golf ball. She took it back to the shop and the next day a suit in an estate car arrived carrying a box of products made by the parent company of the tin's manufacturer. I got hunted so I didn't hear what went on but I think she got money, to shut up obviously.

Years ago we found a red maggot in between the two slices of bacon in a sealed packet. Took it back and got a refund and another packet of bacon, should've made more of a fuss ;0)
