I'm a rider, decent mechanic, interested esp in vintage bikes although I most frequently ride a modern Lynskey gravel bike. Over time I have left carbon frames behind and "devolved" to riding metal frame sets only, a couple of carbon forks in there. Just a question of preference and admiration for the old craft. Quite a few bikes in the family b/c we all ride. My life ambitions are complete b/c I have 2 young-adult kids who are each quite good with wrenches : )
