Desire I'm afraid.

Will it look any different?

Not really. You get the option to move apps to the SD card (where the app allows), a Flashlight app, wifi tethering, Flash 10 and other associated improvements. I got my update at the start of August so I can't really remember what was new in it now!

Still waiting on Vodafone for my Wildfire Froyo update.

One point though, my Wildfire (2.1 update 1) does have the Torch pre-installed.

Now this is odd. The settings say that I've got version 2.1 of the firmware. The 'manage apps' page says that I've got the HTC Corp Flashlight plugin, which would indicate that Froyo has installed, but it's not in the Apps page. And I can't find the wifi hub thing anywhere. This is despite the phone updating yesterday morning.

Any comments?

The version number in Settings / Applications / About Phone / Software Information will be 2.2 if Froyo installed and Wi-Fi Hotspot should be under All Apps if you click on the left-hand arrow at the bottom of the home screens.

Are you sure the update actually installed? I had to remove a large number of apps to get it to install after it downloaded. It would always get so far, fail through lack of space and then reboot as normal.
