frozen water bottle

commuting home last night after backshift my water bottle froze to give me a slush puppy. and whilst i'm on the subject of water bottles does anyone else use them whilst commuting. i always do and i actualy put some high5 energy source in as well

Just water on my commute. Made it up with warm water this morning so it didn't freeze. My back brake froze though !

im still in shorts and dont need water coming in or home (only about 30-35 minutes each way anyway) he bikes in the bedroom at the moment so nice and toasty! lol

one part fresh orange 5 parts water I too had a ice in my bottle really surprised me never happend to me before but what a refreshing drink after a hard commute I think i drop some ice cubes in meeself in future

I never carry any water on my comutte, whether its minus 5 or plus 30.

My route is only 45 minutes so it's just not worth it. Have a drink when you leave and when you get in and you will be fine.

This happens when it gets cold - usually takes around 45 minutes - then I have to stop and take the top of to have a drink..... usually only slushy inside, its the spout that freezes up

Surely regardless of length of commute its good to keep water on the bike and keep yourself hydrated?

Regardless of the lenght of ride, be it 45 mins commute or leisure ride up t'road'; my full water bottle always comes with me.

blimey, I do carry a bottle but it's always empty, other than some sort of sore throat a 45 minute ride isn't going to make me dehydrated

I carry a bit of fresh water, but rarely use any of it at this time of year for the 10.5 miles to/from work.

You water bottle boys n girls...how far are you riding? I never carry one (even in summer), only have a commute of 7 miles each way.

My gears/cables froze up this morning during a long climb - Was stuck in gear one for the rest of the commute.
