Price £800 (ono). Edit: Now £750 ono!!

Surly Steamroller (53cm) fixed gear bike. Built in April this year. Selling because I want to buy a better road bike and I need to raise some funds . . .
I know the price seems excessive but this cost me well over £900 to build. Sensible offers only. I'd rather not sell it than give it away cheaply.
Used daily for a couple of months, running sweetly, no crashes, scratches, dents, rust, etc. Fantastic condition (see photos).

I'm going to add it to eBay in a couple of days, so nows your chance to get it early.

Includes:
Surly Steamroller frame (charcoal colour) - 100% CroMoly steel. read the full details including geometry here http://tinyurl.com/eagv7

Wheels: Paul Hewitt wheelbuild, DRC ST-18 rims plaingauge rear and doublebutted front spokes rated for 700c tyres 20--28mm. Front hub is quick release but for security I'm using the Pitlock system.

Hubs: LeVel front and rear hubs (read about the uniqueness of Level here http://tinyurl.com/2mz7f6 and here http://www.levelcomponents.com/)

Crankset: Stronglight ST-1000, 48t (1/8"), 165mm arms

Chain: Izumi track, 1/8"

Rear sprocket: LeVel 18t

Hope Headset

Handlebars: Nitto randonneur

Tyres: Spesh Armadillos, 28c

Sandle: Selle Italia. OK but nothing fancy. This and the bar tape are new. Did have my trusty Brooks swift on here with matching brown tape, which have been removed. Saddles are a personal thing anyway.

Also included: extra LeVel 19t rear sprocket, Surly Tuggnut (chain tensioner) and front Pitlock 'skewer' (and all the pitlock bits and pieces).

Registered with Bikeregister.com and also has a Datatag installed. The new owner obviously gets the log book and details that go with these

NOTE: no pedals included (though if you don't have pedals I'll add some cheapo platforms so you can ride it away).
Plenty of photos here: http://tinyurl.com/32snrj

Pick from my place, Wallington/Hackbridge, south London (zone 4) or collection/delivery/meet up in Central London.

Any questions or if you want to see more photos, please ask.

Alright, £800 was a bit optimistic. £750 ono. Anyone?

That looks like a nice bike, seems like a shame to sell it as I think you'll be lucky to get 50% of the cost of the build.

IME, that's about (if not more than) the going rate for bikes/parts second hand even when in top condition.

If it was me I'd keep it and forget about a geared bike or keep it and get a geared bike anyway!

But this is classifieds - post a pic on the special interests page and we'll all tell you how nice it is :-)
