That's not fair, giving a link to the guardian and trying to double their readers. You should paraphrase what it says. Maybe along the lines of 'it's fatchas fault' .

This dispute is supposed to be about safety (ref:BBC news). Now a number of petrol station have run dry the government have relaxed the driving hours limit to allow drivers to work 11 hours in a shift (ref: BBC news again). The union and its members seem quite happy about this, but surely this compromises safety.... or am I being naive?

Who said they are happy about it? I've not seen anything to suggest either way, and my assumption would be that they are not.

That said, having read the Unite FAQ on the strike action, for a process that is absolutely "not about money" there is a lot of talk about pensions.

was nice and quiet at Tesco fuel station Lakeside at lunchtime. managed to fill up and there was no queue either. one of the rare times i needed to use the car.
