For a Dancer - Jackson Browne, as everyone enters the crem.
Going Down Slow - Howlin' Wolf, as the coffin heads for the fire. Can of beer in coffin as I've heard it gets a bit warm.
The Birdy Song - The Tweets, as everyone else heads for the pub.

At my cousin's fiancee's funeral, theychose something by Wilco as they brought the coffin into the church and Bowie's "Life on Mars" as we all filed out. Quite moving and oddly appropriate.

I organised my mother's funeral. She always described herself as agnostic, so there were no hymns. I chose the following...
Yesterday (instrumental), Jose Feliciano
Let it be, The Beatles.
Both sides now, Glen Campbell.
Windmills of your mind, Dusty Springfield
Blowing in the wind, Ruby Turner/Jools Holland Big Band.
It took me ages to choose the songs to be played but they were appropriate and suited the occasion.
Haven't got a clue for my funeral. I shall have to apply some thought to it.

I have written my own song for my funeral entitled "In my death the world can still rejoice in my legacy".

I've done a two part harmony on video to be sung with my friend at the funeral. If he dies first then the priest can sing his part.

Is the tune going to be in black and white, full colour, or will it be a rose tinted affair perhaps..?

Going up the Country - Canned Heat (cause it always makes me want to dance)

Mr Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan (probably my favourite song)

All That Way For This - The Oyster Band (self explanatory)
