Evans are doing a second Scottish sportive in Langholm in May. I'm entering that one.

I have a half marathon in may, so cycling may be limited. I would be interested in a summer borders ride though

I haven't had the time yet to look at logistics in any detail, but over Christmas I did ponder (and mention on here) various options for an overnight mini 'practice' tour for those who have never taken their bike away over the weekend (or anybody else who wants to come along, of course) .. as it seems a long time until @Fubar's islands adventure... will post up some ideas in the near future. Departure would be from an easy to reach railway station with frequent trains in the middle or east of the central belt ...

Start point at Carlisle station, but there is a big (free) car park on the route at the edge of the city (approx at the 2 mile marker) where we can meet up with those that drive there.

Now that I have some weekends off, I'm going to put something together for a ride, probably involving ferries and slight inclines around Argyll and Bute or Ayrshire area. Dates seem to be filling up quickly, so will do it soon.

A bit south for some of you, but I intend to run a night ride from Carlisle to Newcastle again at the end of September (date dependant on fitting round a potential Dover-Durness ride)

Excellent advert for the ride, @Telemark. Always wanted to do an overnight ride, and this one fits the bill. Here's hoping I can make it.

Last two years it's been the last Friday/Saturday in September, which should make it the 26/27th. I hope to set off from Dover on the last weekend in Autumn (Bank Holiday weekend down here) or the week after, and take a couple weeks, so that should all fit together

A wee while yet before the train tickets will go on sale ... Last year I took a leap of faith when they were still cheap, Edinburgh - Carlisle & Newcastle - Edinburgh for £17.50 or something like that!
