good thing, bad thing? Wonderful when you're giving butternut squash a bit of zing, but horrible when somebody else has eaten it?

And how much? Her nibs thinks six cloves in the aforementioned squash was overdoing it, but I was in garlic heaven.

A few weeks ago I was making garlic and parsley stuffed lamb loin (for the foodies present: cooked sous vide) I put the surplus stuffing in the fridge. A couple of days later, Mrs PK found said stuffing and used it as a pasta sauce for her lunch. I did not have the heart to tell her that for the next 3 days she oozed garlic from every pore!

Have you seen those southern European ladies. They eat lots of Garlic. Oh so beautiful when young but they grow old and wrinkly very quickly and prefer to hide under shapeless black clothing. Garlic. I hate the stuff. It's like bottled water, marketing over brains.
 
I like garlic and try to use it whenever possible with whatever I'm cooking.

The misses is absolutely insane about it and uses far more than I do. Unfortunately, when out, she always asks for extra garlic, because it's not an insignificant amount she asks for!

A German colleague once made garlic infused vodka. He and his mate polished (geddit?) off the bottle one evening and he reeked for several days afterwards.

Garlic, food of the gods. Had roasted whole garlic (along with a small amount of marrow, onions, peppers, and mushrooms) for my tea last night and left overs for lunch today....
