The wild garlic in Daisy Nook is in full flow now. Mrs SB won't let me take a plant and propagate some in the garden, she doesn't like the smell, I think it is great.

I collected some seed as just chucked it into a bit of random garden. I've now got lots

I thought it was just me, but did some digging a while ago. Melton Pork Pie and mustard yum.
I think powder is the way forward.

It's not only less spicy, they've made it more runny too. Feck knows why.

Most Garlic is grown in China these days but they are the biggest users of it, in fact every recipe I cook in the Wok has the 'holy trinity' of Garlic, Ginger and Spring Onions in it (that is the essential taste of Chinese cookery)

Thanks for that. I looked into it a while ago but decided that due to lack of space, my crop would be quite small. Anyway, I'll re-visit the idea.

Garlic doesn't take up much space although if you want industrial quantities.............

There is a good Chinese wholesalers in Leicester too, it's where I go for mine, fresh Ginger too.

Yeah the crap they sell in supermarkets can be pretty dire, the supermarkets sell off the cheap crap that the Chinese and Indian shops won't consider selling as they eat it so expect 'top notch' produce (and I'm not talking about corner shops but rather the places that they buy food)
