not sure that sounds like loosing your GPS signal which I have also had my garmin 200 do but it always does it along one section of an old railway route leading up to my home - not sure why but even in winter when there are no leaves around the GPS signal appears dodgy there.

I have however had my Garmin 200 crash on me (which is when it starts recording a new route) and I had to do a reset...
the other trick it had was to turn itself off when trying to upload a ride to either garminconnect or strava and clearing out all of the old rides and courses fixed that.

Did a 20 mile ride today and Garmin performed perfectly. Very pleased.

The 200s work very well, and only sometimes does it take a bit to get a signal. It's usually switch on, get on bike and press start to get signal.

Just keep an eye on it. I have had one unit fail, it just wouldn't hold charge after 6 months.

Only under bridges or in deep woodland. I can rarely get one outside my house too, need to cycle down the main road for it to pickup a signal.
Mine lost signal on the road from Abergele to Llandulas, going along the long stone wall there. Have you had this problem with yours there?
