Garmin 800 help

Yep, tried all of that...maybe it will miraculously appear in the morning when the bloody thing has sight of the sky!

Wot I do:
1. Export GPX track to desktop from RWGPS
2. Connect garmin to PC
3. go to "Computer"
4. double click garmin drive
5 double click Garmin folder
6 double click New Files
7 drag and drop gpx track from desk top directly into New files
8. Disconnect garmin
9 switch on
10 course is now installed on garmin

If its the same as a 705 then it sounds like youre copying to the wrong folder.

The course folder is for .tcx files and it wont show on the garmin.

Gpx files need to be put in the specific gpx folder.

The new files folder, which is what I have tried many times

go to top right and click export

click gpx route

downloads to your pc

try this on your garmin, if it goes in then the other file is corrupt.

Aha, so its not the file. (i did the above on my garmin and it went on fine)

It is either your pc or your garmin.

So, do the above, but try it as a .TCX. (i norm use TCX as i still think it is the best format)

I'm out now, will try later. Perhaps a garmin reset. Can't see why it would be the PC? Or try tcx

Have you tried importing it on garmin connect (website) then save as course and then use the send to device link. You might have to delete the original 'activity' you imported after you have created the course.

I did this with the tourride gpx file a few days ago and it worked fine.
