Garmin Edge 305 help again pretty Please ???

Connected my 305 to Garmin connect, message came up to update ( bought from flea bay) i tried this ,it would not let me then tried to update chip set would not let me, NOW when i power on I see Compass dial with no satellites at all just blank....I have re-set soft and hard, ANY ideas Please

A hard reset is holding down the start, mode reset and lap buttons all at the same time. You could also try connecting it and downloading the latest firmware. IIRC there's a Garmin Web Upater that does that.
