Garmin Edge 605 MTB Nav

Just bought this from Wiggle, they don't have the road version. Will this be ok to still use on the roads, if not where can I get the detailed road maps package from and how much?

yes you will be able to use it on the roads. it is garmin topo maps which are OS maps and include roads but also include others features for off road usde.

i have the 605 but i have city nav maps which are the same as you get in the car sat nav maps, so therefore don't include cyclepaths etc. yours properly do include these.

Well my Garmin arrives today, anything I need to know about it? Setting up etc. Does it have an altimeter?

it doesn't have altimeter, it used gps to determine it.

it is easy to setup and you shouldn't have any problems and the manual is quite good.
