Garmin edge explorer 2.

Mine packed up although it is only less than a year old , so I got my money back as they didn't have any more in stock.
My dilemma is: should I invest into a new cycle computer or just keep the money and use my phone for the rare occasions I need routing?
I already have two other Garmins in good working order.
If I use Komoot, can I use it on my phone without having to pay a subscription?
My cycling rides are always on routes I already know but planning on one unknown territory soon hence, the advice.

My first question would be if you have two working Garmins why not use one of those?

I don't know about Komoot as I always pay for a service I'm using.

Amazon themselves, rather than some dodgy selling using Amazon as a front, are currently selling them for £179.99. Always struggled with a 530 but this seems very simple to use in comparison.
