Hello guys and gals
The good news is I managed to buy a 810 second hand in great nick. At a great price.
So I now have a couple of questions.

Dose anyone plug in to charge off of the mains?
Is it possible to connect streight to strava? (With out a computer)
As it is second hand I can't register it with garmin anyone got an idea besides emailing garmin?
If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great thanks

I use the mains USB charging plug for my Google Nexus 4 phone to charge mine, I just swap out the USB cable, its not an issue for me.

No idea I don't pretend to race. But I would expect that you could upload a TCX file to strava using the browser of your mobile platform. Which you can connect the 810 to

You will not be able to register it with Garmin, its probably already been registered by the original owner. The extended warranty is not transferable and associated with thge original purchaser.

Going left seems a good a direction as any IMHO.

Cheers for the comment. I'm half way there I think. I have now registered the device to myself and figured out the TCX file thing. I had hoped it would of been easier than this but owell. I have taken it for a spin and works great. I keep looking down and thinking wow. I'm not doing that speed :O best cycle gadget I've bought so far. As for your choice in direction just need to get some folks on my garmin connections list now

I'm quite a new 810 owner and it's the best thing I bought. Apart from the bike obviously. Get a memory card (if you've not got one) and get some maps on there. Directions and routing is great

+1 for tapiriik - finish the ride on your 810, it syncs to phone and uploads to garmin connect. Tapiriik finds the ride and syncs to Strava (or any of the other services it supports), youre done
Thanks for info.

Took two mates out last night and new what was coming. So I just shouted out speeds and distances to prevent that annoying question every five mins lol
